FF power upgrade

Was running my Lowrance 67c from the hobie 8xAA battery pack, new batteries each trip. This was getting expensive, and last Sunday after only 2hrs on brand new batteries, the FF would not power up after I turned it off to save the batteries !

Finally did the inevitable, SLA 7Ah. Out with the old, in with the new.

Used the same connectors as the Hobie bait tank, that way I can share a charger.

That is very cool! Where did you get the connector that they use on the Hobie bait tank?

The connector is made by k-four (www.k-four.net), I think they are in SD.

I bought it at Marshall's Industrial Hardware

Great store, they have tons of cool stuff.

I had initially done my FF the same way with the AA's but it would not last long enough. Switched over to the same battery you did and BAM, can fish all day.
