Yeah I had my 7mm neoprene duck hunting waders on, I stayed nice and toasty.
What I didn't plan on was the sun to be out so I didn't put on sunscreen and I got hit with the waterglare and the snowglare. My face looks like a frikin racoon |

Where is there a good place to launch at silverwood? I would love to take my kayak there when the weather warms up.

They have a hand launch in cleghorn cove. Just hang a left as soon as you go through the pay booths and follow it to the end, back straight down the launch and enjoy. Its a tough lake to fish and it usually gets windy. But it holds some big striped bass, you just gotta get a hook in front of em.
