You are actually allowed to harass them a bit but you arent allowed to do anything that causes an actual injury. no stabbing or shooting with a gun but you can hit them and use paintball guns on em. Kayak paddles work well my friend smacked one in the face with a kayak paddle

Thanks to all the good work sea world, LJFOS and other agencies do, you can expect to have alot more encounters like this;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfYB6kuUQL0 the sea-lion was not being baited or teased, he simply wanted ON the yak and actually slid up over the bow one time off camera...not sure if he was sick or if the tax man was around or what...he was biting the rod butt, more playful than agressive butt where do you draw the line??...I'm sure someone less comfortable in the water and around seals would have felt VERY threatened? Glad it wasn't ol'knothead. Leaving the "area" eventually did the trick.... ![]() |
