I usually give it a solid 5 missisippis but should have gone to 10 for a bait that size. It was my last and by a few inches largest mac.

It was definitely a Yellowtail. I believe that sometimes they just want to be cruel and crush baits for sport without intending to eat them. They are hard to catch when they are doing that.

The hunters instinct, like my cat that leaves dead birds, rats, mice and iguanas at my door. Some creatures can't turn it off.

Thought so. I definitely will change my count for the bigger baits. I really didn't want to let it run too far cause even though we were the first ones there, a lot of boats showed within 100 yards by the time I had that bite.
