Enjoyed your report. Seeing that Opaleye reminds me of fishing off the rocks just Nth of there. I once took a five-pound Calico in 3ft of water while fishing for Opaleye with muscle. The fish in the oxygenated surf are more colorful, like trout from a river. Sometimes better fishing is found in shallow.

It looks like you didn’t have too bad of a day👍🏼
I wouldn’t mind heading out that way sometime, hopefully when the water warms up a bit. The bite was off as well at Dana Pt. but we scratched out a few. |
