If your seals are nice and new and once the weight of the water presses down, it creates a pretty nice snug fit. I also use bungee's that connect to the sides to hold it in even further. A couple of things that I don't like about it:

Hatch lid for the top does not fit well (a little trimming might help that)
Square shape even though the corners are slightly rounded seems to get 'dines crowded in the corners giving them red-nose a bit more vs. round bucket.

i have this bait tank. i placed weather stripping from home depot around the tank to make it water tight.

So is the tank detachable after the weather stripping?
