Great kayak. Went with 15 becuase of weight capacity. If you have a lot of gear and bait tank, 15 might be way to go . It is a beast on land . 93 lb . I used to think my outback was heavy . The trident 13 is not that much lighter but the weight capacity is a lot lower. On the water the trident can move. Handles surf great. Been through 3ft surf, 4-6 ft , even got caught out in 6-8 ft with 10 ft mixed in . Today I took it out at Malibu 4-6 ft. It's great to be able to stash rods and gear with ease. Since I got it in October I have not used my outback.

. For a paddle kayak this platform is hard to beat. I also would recommend rudder.
