We are veering way OT here, but speaking of fish handling, I saw an episode yesterday of Trev Gowdy's Monster Fish where the gaffed a Kingfish, and then released it. National freakin tv.

Well after a team sewer facetime conference...we have determined that we as a, "group" have no idea what the hell to do, since we usually catch halibut that are usually 30-40 times larger than that one pictured...Id say ask another expert...

I put my math skillz to work here and I have calculated that if you are catching things 30-40 times larger than 21 inches that puts you between 52.5ft-70ft, which put you in the realm of these majestic creatures. Good luck using a lip gripper on a finback whale
