Except aku are white skipjack. Those are black skipjack. White skippys are the only one w pronounced black stripes below the lateral line. Black skippys have usu 3 dots just behind the gills on the belly and maybe faded stripes. There is no other fish that looks like a white skipjack.

I have seen a couple fliers in LJ this year. I was surprised to spook one in Huntington Harbor last week. I also saw a needle fish chasing bait yesterday here.

Pretty sure white skippys =Aku and black skippies =fertilizer/catfood

Blacks also = really oily bloody stinky lobster bait.

Flyers from dragonfly to as big as those sheerwater birds off SanO.
