albright will work fine for 50lb just come down on the amount of turns. 6 or 7 should be good.

I've been using the Alberto knot ( aka RP knot, aka modified Albright knot, aka John Collins knot) for years. I rub chapstick on the braid before tying to make it cinch a lot easier.

I recently started using the FG knot for my heavier 80-100 lb leaders for popper fishing. Works great on lighter line too. The FG knot has been tested to be a stronger knot. Just make sure your wraps are tight and it won't fail.
