Not sure if I mentioned this to you, but was looking at it as an option instead of drilling.. Saw this on another board and looked interesting..

Only concern they had expressed was if it would not rotate with the pressure of trolling or eventually getting bit.. Even when it's tightened..

Would love to hear if anyone has any experience or I could just be a lab rat and test it....

Would/could HOBIE repair the damage if the ball mount is screwed too tight and cracks/splits the molded rod holders?
