Thanks for the advice everyone. As I mentioned, "if the wind permits", however, I have my bass rod and swim baits for spotties if it's too crazy. I've fished a lot with my buddy in his little 16 ft bay liner , so I can't even imagine the wake in a kayak. That little bay liner gets thrown around pretty good from any wake. I can't help that I'm too excited to get out there. Let me know if anyone will be in Newport on Sunday morning.
