Mikey made it back safe but exhausted, fought the wind and tide. It's good to be young and strong.
A sierra is a high power fight, a total blast. Just when you think you have the fight under control it makes a 100 foot reel stripper run, then a 90 degree turn so that your line goes slack and the rod gets yanked right or left as the slack disappears. All you can do is pull and keep reeling. They don't quit the fight all the way to the yak. ![]()

It took me about eight and a half hours, following the speed limits and stopping every hour or two limber up the legs.
