I have a Revo 13 I picked up not too long ago from another BWE member and absolutely love it! It is incredibly fast with enough room to move around and feel comfortable. I went from a Tarpon to the Revo and am more than happy with it, although much faster it's not anymore tippy. The previous owner made some simple upgrades for storage so having less deck space hasn't really impacted me. I find that I love the way it's laid out as it's more streamline on deck than other yaks. I have fished it in the harbor as well as the kelp and the extra length doesn't bother me as it only takes seconds to use a paddle to turn it around tighter or get around the kelp. On the plus side the length is perfect for open water, I've had it in some rough swells and felt perfectly safe cruising around and even stayed out a little longer just to keep on the bite. I recommend a Hobie completely and can't speak to the Outback or the PA but absolutely love the Revo.

I have a tarpon 120 and love it. Super stable and super fast, Plus a great fishing platform.
I would rather have a 140 or 160, but I bought the 120 before knowing any better. The tarpon is an awesome boat. |
