Mike, we hate lizardfish, too, that's too bad they were such a problem, probably diminishing your chances of catching a decent fish. They can be problematic in certain areas of LJ, and especially around Scripps pier, when we used to be able to fish there for anything except bait. Better luck next time.

i used to RARELY catch Lizards in SDB around 10+ years ago.
still not too bad around Tidelands area now days. but past 5 years or so, they have gotten thick, especially all around the Shelter Island area. past 2 years, they are getting horribly populated. some days, i struggle to catch more bass than lizards. ![]() .
