I always make a good runway, rev a few times punch it in first, quickly into second and glide across the sand. Haven't been stuck yet. Last year I got sand trapped a couple times. It's just like fishing la jolla.

Some times a bucket will get you some traction. Go to edge of surf fill up bucket full of sea water carry to stuck truck, pour water on loose soft sand, to make wet packed sand, repeat as many times as needed.
