DO NOT bring Myoplex as a snack. I did that once and will never forget how it shortened my time on the water. Wife was being nice enough to pack a snack for me.

Great lists but I have 2 more important things on my list that I haven't noticed above: 1) cheap hand held compass (when the fog rolls in and no gps) and 2) be sure to kiss the wife before you leave (good for a few extra hours or an extra day otw)!

Excellent point! I would never kayak fish without the compass,even on clear,bright sunny days. A pfd and compass will save you,the rest of the list is just an added luxury.......... |

Based on last trips experience (smooth hound shark involved), more than one pair of pliers. I prefer the disposable Home Cheapo bulk pack, since they inevitably go over the edge.
Naturally, if I followed the "tie everything down you want to keep" rule, this wouldn't be an issue. |
