Last year I fished for them using a trap-rig and dead sardines. Cast it out and let them latch on and chew on the dead bait a while. Pump the tip, set the hook(s) and you'll hook em enough to get them to the side of the yak for a gaff.
what you do after that is your choice they squirm around a lot. Bait up and repeat. |
