it is a hobie mirage classic, i have one of these i picked up about 4 years ago for $600, and i've seen them since then for even lower than that, this guy is WAY overpriced.
these kayaks have a tendency to just randomly flip with no warning, the one we have has flipped at least 3 or 4 times on perfectly flat water sitting still (only once with me in it). there aren't any real good places to mount anything and the rudder on ours has issues going up/down. we've had to replace the handle once or twice becuase it took so much force to move. stay away. unless you can get him to halve the price, then it would be a good backup/loaner. |
