When: 3/21/12, Wednesday
Size: 42"
Bait: Mega-dine
Rig: Trap Rig (and on the trap hook)
Weather: Sunny and bright, little wind
Tide: Outgoing
Water Temp: 56

Name: 42_3-21-12D.jpg.jpg
Views: 1354
Size: 112.0 KB

Not another 'yaker out, did see two jetski fishermen and they said they had only one sandbass. Not the red hot bite, but then again it only takes one. Looks like the Spring spawn is still a ways off. After this one, wind picked up and blew me back in.

Looking like the next week or so will be pretty crappy, but hoping the predictions will change...

that's all it takes, just one bite.

I ended up with the same results today except that mine was 24" and not 42".

Lovin them mega-dines. Nice fish, 28-29 lbs? Were the Dines from the barge, or did you make your own bait?

Beautiful fish. A chip and a chair is all you need my friend.I'm guessing she's just a tad over 30

Thanks guys...

Didn't mean to make it sound like I had only one sardine. Joe was scraping the bottom of the cages at the bait barge, but I did get some VERY large ones (7"-9"). With the size of those, I didn't bother to stop to try to pick up a few macs. What I was trying to say was that NO bites all day except for that one fish. There is always hope (and luck)...

Way to capitalize on your one oportunity. 1 bite for 1 hali has saved my fishing day a few times. Mike
