05/05 Oceanside Reef Hunters

Got to Oceanside harbor around 6 grabbed some grub then set up.
Dave (aka Papadch) Met up with me we launched around 7.
Got the bait tanks running headed over to the bait barge got some very nice Dines said our payer and made our way out.
It was pretty rough waves on the way out... I would say small around 3' and big around 6' waves.
Made it to the first reel around 7:30 dave caught a nice sandy.
1hen headed to the 2nd reel and then caught a big toad calico on a fly line dine!
Then as soon as I got him on the clip got back to the reef dropped down another dine and BAM! another calico(sorry no pics for 2nd one already was fileted out before I thought to take a picture.
Kept on getting racked by Hali miss to many to count.
Then headed back into shore around 3.

The pictures dave took are to big to post but will post a pic of the bass next to the dock boat cleet.

We did okay, not a wide open bite, but quality fish. Wind and waves made it difficult to stay on the piles but we managed a couple of nice fish each.
