Little Tip I Thought I'd Pass On.

If you drill, cut-out, punch holes in you kayak. Save the shavings no matter how small. Keep them in a little baggy or something. If you abandon that application and are left with screw holes you can melt down the shavings you saved and fill in the holes with a near perfect match.

I just found that out yesterday.

Carry on.

The kayak shops usually save cutouts from their installations. If you need to make a repair and you don't have any scraps, go visit a shop that carries your make and ask them if you can have a piece that matches your kayak. If they have it, they're usually more than happy to give some to you.
