Rod recommendations for Halibut & Bass

Considering purchasing a Californion "Calico" special for a Abu Revo RV03ins used for throwing plastics and drop shoting in the lagoon & bay for bass and halibut. Curious to know what length, and rod action you guys use and recommend for targeting both species. Thanks in advance. Bought a Berkley Lighting Shock med/heavy from Wally's but considering taking back, based on the reviews.

You really don't need anything heavy in the bay; 7' Medium to Medium-Heavy with a fast action for plastics with variations based on preference and technique. For dropshot I actually prefer spinning gear which is really the only time I prefer spinning.

Decision was easy for me...

I use the custom wrapped halibut rod I won in last year's MB HOW tournament raffle.
