Hand tied flies. Bucket mouths. What more could you ask for? Good going!

Anything with a hook that catches fish at discovery lake deserves to be sold in stores! That's a tough place .

Haha thanks fellas! It can be a good challenge at times but the bass are pretty aggressive and active now due to spawning season. I find it fun to create crazy flies and watch my fly line take off. 5 bass a Discovery today.
Cheers!

Awesome! Nothing better than making your own baits, and then catching fish on them.

Have you ever tied any flies for calico or SBB that are somewhat weedless?

I actually caught some saltwater bass on some flies that Defjack tied which were very crude but worked on my conventional gear in SD Bay.

Yeah definitely! I have old steel guitar strings that I use. Works great! I just bend it into shape and tie it to the neck. It covers the hook until a fish bites down. SBB are a blast on the fly!

Thanks fishing md! Maybe hit the bay with ya one of these days.

Bob, It would be my pleasure to fish Baja with you again! October is going to be tough this year for me due to me becoming a first time father. Maybe I could jump on an earlier trip if someone drops out. Cheers! AAAAAANNND!!!
