Post BWE Ja Jolla Shores launch webcam retirenment

Just to make formal announcement:

BWE webcam camera device itself went out of service.
Given both LJBTC (La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club) and La Jolla Shores Hotel now have much better/high resolution webcams pointed to La Jola Shores Beach - there is really no need for it.

We're coming up on 13 years since we put this webcam in business. The time flies. While bummed we no longer have it, I'm grateful for the service it provided to kayak fishing community over the years.

On behalf of BWE, I'd like to thank LJBTC for letting us host the webcam on their property all this time. I'd like to thank their awesome IT Department, Frojon in particular, for providing hands-on help every time we had a problem with it!

THANKS!

Thanks for the heads up, I won't be buggin' you about "cam down" like usual.
Actually, thanks for all the years of operation and attention. I can't imagine how much gas and time it saved me for the poor days and the excitement it added when conditions were great!
I moved away a few years back, but still enjoyed seeing what is going on. I'll always be grateful and will save a lot of great memories.

End of an era

Adi,

Thanks for formal explanation. Appreciated - and will miss - direct view of launch and game of "who's car is on the beach now" for so many years.

Hope all's well with you.

Would be nice if they could turn their LJ Shores camera a little to the left so that we could see launches and landings.

Instead of the blank screen you should post a picture of a bunch of guys with kayaks getting ready to launch,

The cameras aren't really live..................I just looked at both cameras, one shows an empty beach and the other shows a beach full of kayaks and hot women in bikinis
