Nice video Greg. Would you mind if I asked for a close up of your front hatch? I like the bungee cord idea. I feel like I've seen something similar and would like to do the same to mine.

You pulled the words right off my keyboard Ross lol. Here is the front hatch. I had to custom make a couple of shims to raise up the non-fixed hooks for easier wrapping.


Here are the fixed connections.


And the other side.


Also did something similar on the center hatch, which makes it much more accessible. Has the same fixed connections on one side.



And a few washers beneath the hooks on the other side.

The hatch idea was not mine, I just adapted what Howard Mckim (Alaska kayak guide) did from an older video. The front hatch bungees double as Halibut tie downs too.
