Cabrillo 2-15-20

Tough fishing. Bait was pushed up right on the shore. Which I didn't find until late in the day.

Only small fish and not many of those. Lots of smelt to pull the tails off the plastics though!

2 Sand Bass
1 Calico

Some greedy smelt.

Beach side. Right next to the parking lot.

save yourself the walk on the sand and launch from the boat launch, it's much easier.

yeah that's where i usually launch but they usually close pretty early

I don't recall exactly but I believe its less than 30 minutes from the launch to Angels Gate. It wasn't uncommon for us to find bait on the way to the opening, there are schools of macs swimming around especially right near or before the lighthouse.
