Interesting that I got my first mako same day outside of Mission bay. I saw something swimming around my bait tube and flipped a flatfall out. Bit it on the first cast. My first meal was mako tacos from the belly and collar meat. Fantastic! The rest I steaked and froze for later culinary tests.
