Two days of slaying the bay bass. 3-5/3-6

I was lucky enough to be able to fish MB both Saturday and Sunday morning.

The fishing was awesome both mornings with spotties everywhere. All the weed lines were holding spotties. Most were nice sized 12 to 13 inch models. I did manage one that went almost 16 inches and weighed 2.4 lbs. on the new digiscale that rides on the yak with me.

I fished skirted jig heads with a single tail grub pinned on. Plenty of Uni butter slathered on as well. I fished three hours Saturday morning and two on Sunday. Good incoming tide both days.

Fish count:

Saturday:

22 spotties (no biguns just plenty of em)

Sunday:

14 Spotties (one almost 15in and one just over 15in)

all fish were C&R

Enjoyed a couple cigars and great weather. San Diego in early March......pretty sweet.

MB is great for spottie fishing.

The big bay has bigger fish and a bigger variety of species. But for spottie fishing MB is tough to beat.

MB is a great place to fish, been awhile for me as well, think the last time was when OEX was doing the sunset MBF events. Way to slay the spotties.

Man you did slay 'em, I am surprised you kept counting. I always loose track once I reach the teens, I never learned to count that high. Nice days on the water.
