Labor Day Special

The morning started off pretty "iffy", with not much bait around and a south wind direction. Soon however the birds started working and bait became plentiful! Caught a couple and then started firing the iron. A couple of casts in a yellow follows to the kayak but did not bite. At least they are around. Put on a bait and circled the immediate area and soon after the game is on, pulled much harder than 28.43#.

Good job Dave!

I hope when I'm 56 I'm standing in that same spot, with fish in hand and a big salty grin. According to my fish log from years past, Labor day has always produced for me, more proof.

I bet you had to use the pedals on that one .

Nice fish Dave! What reel do you have mounted to that Calstar in the background? Looks like a Curado low-pro baitcaster?
