Owens river 11-11-2019

Well I made plans to go, and my buddy went to Redding to Steelhead, I went anyway.
Monday left the house at 4 AM.and was fishing by 9:30. on the lower Owen.
Best one of the day.

Tuesday Went for a hike down the Gorge to see how the flush flow changed the area I fish around the second power plant.
Caught a few dinks but did see a 14 incher.
Then back down to the Owens and a hard place to get into. I had two crawl though the bushes on all 4s to get to the hole.
It was worth it I caught 8 fish 3-- 18 inch.

WOW that was crazy!
Wednesday I did a bunch of recon on the river, running here and there to check out how the place had changed with the flow at 700 for 6 months.
Caught a nice one too.

The Owen flow was down to 200 CFS.
A great trip.

A great inspirational post! If this doesn’t make you want to get out and go , you must be dead inside 🤣🤣🤣❗️❗️❗️
Thanks for the post, I haven’t fished the gorge in a while (since it open to fishing)
Brings back some great memories. Unfortunately, my physical condition now makes it all but impossible to fish there anymore so I appreciate these posts more than you can imagine.🥺
THANKS,
Robert
