New kayak: Feelfree Lure 11.5

I recently got a new kayak with the intentions of it being a good duck hunting platform. This bad boy is so stable and comfortable I think it is going to be my go to freshwater kayak also. I took it out for the first time on Saturday just to get a feel for the boat and I'm super impressed. With it being wide 36" and only 11.5ft long I don't see taking it out into any open water but for lake, river and harbors this thing is perfect. Check it out!

I put together a little video of the seating positions and stability of the kayak. I'm behind the times in video and can't get it to embed right so heres the link:

I think you can take that kayak in the ocean no problem. I take my Ocean Kayak Trident 11 out and your kayak seems more stable than mine.

Yea dude that thing looks plenty stable enough for the ocean. It's about the same size as my Stealth 12 and I'm pretty comfortable on it in 1-3 foot swells and mild chop. I'd probably keep the seat in the low position though.

My reason for not taking it in the ocean isn't due to stability concerns. It is more than stable but I have other kayaks more suitable for speed, tracking and distance. It's a great platform but if I was planning on covering lots of water I'll use one of my other kayaks.
