SD Big Bay Sunday

Started at 630 am from Shelter with my sons and a new fishing buddy Roger. We started slow from the beach as Roger led the way with a quick spotty as my sons and I kicked sand trying to get organized. Once we took off and began to enjoy the moment all was well. We worked our way down past the pier and turned North into the docks just short of the sub base. Roger continued to pull spotties as we ran through the docks and landed as you see below a very nice 3lb'er which was nice to see. My sons also got into the action a bit earlier and caught smaller spotties with my oldest boy hooking a ray. As for me well I found my joy in the day watching others hook'up..because god knows I couldn't muster anything larger than a side hooked baby bone fish today. Doesn't matter, my boys enjoyed the day with a few spotties and our new fishing buddy Roger shared tons of knowledge...until next weekend...

Looks like it was a great day after the fog lifted. Good time on the water.

Love that yellow bone stock blank of a kayak without a front hatch! Classic bare-bones fishin' right there!

cant give the kiddos everything yet, need them to fish a lesser craft and earn their way to a fully outrigged yak...the love eat eitherway...to my sons being on the water and fishing is all they need. Plus I need to use the money on my fancier rig, they fish better than I do but I look good...gotta have something over on my boys
see you guys on the water...
