Dana Point Jet Ski & Kayak center carries all the Hobie models & if think they have a few 2009 Pro Anglers for a couple hundred $$$ less then the 2010 models.

Do you know how much is the 2010? Is there a difference between the 2009 & 2010?

I have a Lowrance HDS-5 on my PA. Has all the features I need. Maybe someday I'll add the sturcture scan too (sooooo sweet) but that's alot of hardware on a yak.

OEX Oceanside carries Hobies including the Pro Angler as well.

Always good to support the stores that bring you these wonderful forums we call BWE......

As for the Sonar, A unit should not be recomended by the boat but instead by what you plan on fishing for/ the areas you plan on fishing. On my Freshwater kayak I run a 100% different unit than on my boat I paddle in LJ and such. I also run even different units on my skiff.

What do you plan on using the Prangler and the sonar for mainly?

We just fish Dana Point. I personally dont have a fish finder on my Hobie Sport. My friend is also new to kayak fishing. He is getting the kayak from Fast Lane Sailing. He talked to some body from there at the Fred Hall.
But we might take a trip one to LJ. Just have to get courage to take on the surf.
