Jetty Question

Tomorrow I wont be in my kayak but my 14' boat. Was wondering what yall think the conditions will be like around 730-8 trying to launch at the dana ramps and head to the LJ kelp via the jetty? Was on the water last Friday and almost got eaten by some giant waves coming into the jetty so my boat and 4 others turned around. No way us little guys were going to make it out without taking on 20+ gallons. No idea where those waves came from but anyway, think ill have good smooth water or should I stay and fish the SD Bay?
