Lajolla personal best

I think this is one of those hybrid LJ yellowtails. Had a weird color pattern. She fell victim to the blue/white salas 7x. Anyways this was the highlight of my day at the shores today. Fished with Josh and Chris, (easy day and ckallday71). Current was almost as unbearable as the pb'rs. Easy launch and landing. I think I'm gonna do a wall mount with this

Looks like a 40 pounder. Nice job! How long did it take to bring that beast aboard?

Thought I had a WSB today at sunrise soaking the glow back iron with squid.......6 foot 7 gill......took me forever but I got my iron back, kind of like chubs in happy Gilmore. But the shark was released to fake the next guy out. And for Wills beast he had to use 2 game clips and sink 2 gaffs in it to get it aboard.

The current was ripping yesterday but any day on the water is better than off. Got some taco meat. Getting back to shore took forever!

I was gonna smoke it for shits and giggles but when I fileted it the meat was so dark and mushy I gave it to the cats. They wouldn't touch it.

If your arms were any longer, we might think it was a 60 pounder. Could have grilled it wrapped with like a pound and a half of bacon to make it taste better. Ha Ha Ha!

I'm not a master angler, I'm a master of "angles"

Nope I had it in my hand when I was packing and it definitely woukd have made a world of difference. Especially when trying for the rockfish. 8oz was barely enough to get to the bottom.

I'm just wondering how effective they are. I just bought one, along with the trolley.

That's strange ? The vultures were fighting over one of them for about 3 - 4 minutes . Slightly larger than throat models .
