to windy to yak, shore pounding it is.

found a break in the weather and started gearing up for it while the rain was still pouring.

got there around 7ish and it was WFO. farmed a few and landed a few.

started with the bleeding mac on a weedless head. and these guys are the most stubborn and hardest fish to take tape shots.

then this one

then this one

oh and this one...

lost both my weedless lead heads to the same boat... so i tied on a skirted weedless leadhead with a green tailed hammer.

first cast i get hit and its a drag puller, on it for about 15 seconds and its gone... this happened several times with this leadhead... idk why.

got on the docks and got this toad.

and this one

did a mixture of swimming and jigging and both produced well.

even decided to walk along a clear section and "troll" it along. it worked too.

went over to that boat and got one of my leadheads back.

was fun. and love that rod.

headed out again tonight. was contemplating taking the yak but looks like the wind might pick up.

Way to work with the conditions. Think I'll be walking the shore soon.

changed it up a bit, threw the green last night and red tonight

Nice Fish!

If you don't mind sharing, which shore are you pounding? I'm always looking for on-shore alternatives in North County.

i went south to MB. only 30minute drive from oceanside and it was blown out here both days. there's a place in carlsbad i want to hit up. im just nervous about all the busy body rich people living there.

oh and all were released. its good to see a good shore fishery still around .
