Where is my Lotto Ticket?

Overall a slow morning at La Jolla today, but my number got pulled. I got one fish early, and another just before I was about to reel up my last drop. Did not see any other fish caught around me, so it was probably just a place and time thing. Unfortunately, the first fish came before I got the downrigger camera down, and the last just after I put it away. And, before anybody asks, yes that is my Halibut rod

"Don't come over here "

I keep telling other kayakers the same thing whether I'm hooked up or not . I wish they would just leave me alone . . . I wonder why Wade hasn't posted a video like this lately ? . . I'm not sure which I prefer ? Rasta jamm , or drag screaming ? This one is gonna be tough to beat none the less , even with 7 months remaining . Please don't knock me off the Hali crown . That would be double duty . . Well done , and great capture of a memorable event .

You can hear how solid that second fish is when you hit it with the gaff.
Nice fish.

Nice fish Greg. Don't you hate it when you plan on harvesting one fish and the second one is a season best. I'm sure HOW would make good use of the extra meat. Good job.

That rod looks like it might be a good halibut rod.

Greg, one of these days your rods are gonna start
have a long talk with you...

What a beautiful fish. Congrats.

I agree with TJones, it's nice not to bug people when they're fishing.
