I think the stealth/x-factor are probably the best bang for your buck and you can often find newer lightly used yaks for good prices. EasyDay has a nice newish yak (not Malibu) for a good price here http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwevb/s...ad.php?t=24440

Much depends on your size and needs. Plus how you will
transport it.

I have a Malibu Stealth 12 that I've got all fixed up and it works great as a fishing kayak. It's a little on the heavy side but it's nice and wide which makes it very stable. It's not a fast kayak, but a lot of time when you're drift fishing the bays, speed is not necessarily needed. I like it for the stability and having the ability to convert the center hatch to a bait tank is pretty awesome. Andy at OEX can do that for you.

OEX has Malibus on sale once a year that are blems. You can find some great deals. Sometimes the blems are so minor that it's hard to tell the difference between those and the new ones.
