[quote=Iceman;25908]As I have said before: Curiosity bite on a swimmer and you are likely dead...[quote]
The last two incidences have been fatal, but I read somewhere that the majority of curiosity bites did not result in death. |

Hmmm....I have 1 blue, 1 yellow, Clay has a blue, and my blue has already been bitten...does that mean I'm safe and the odds are now turned in my favor?
Can't imagine what was going thru her mind as she's swimming towards her party...guess it's time for a shark fin icon.

People will use anecdotal reports and cherry-picked data to make authoritative pronouncements about shark behavior. After the guy in the red Hobie got hit the old internet was buzzing with theories about the Mirage drive flippers or the color being responsible. What about a common sense theory; like he was fishing in an area with a high density of GWS and every once in a while they will hit something that isn't their normal prey.

Catalina Mothership trip tomorrow
For anyone who is planning on gone on the kayak trip tomorrow morning out of San Pedro, if you are interested in carpooling to save on gas charges out of San Diego please PM me. I live in the Serra Mesa area (north of Mission Valley area). I plan on departing around 3 am with a 4:45 am arrival.
Thanks, Jimmy |
