CONGRATULATIONS RAY...!

On your 80th BIRTHDAY this Sunday!

For those of you who fish the Dana Point area, you probably know or have fished with "sit-inside" Ray, one of the local masters of OC halibut fishing.

Ray 507.jpg

Ray fishes, on average, about twice a week, and still makes the long paddle from Baby's Beach, out past the Headlands, come summer or winter, 52 weeks a year. With a motto of "keep it simple...", Ray passes on the conveniences of a bait tank or fishfinder, preferring to fill his bait tube with his own caught macs and finding the fish with his own intuition.

So, if you see Ray out there in the next few days, wish him a happy birthday, and maybe see if he needs a hand getting another 40" hali into his boat...
