5-11-06 PM Shift

Hit the water with Randy, Steamroll, and Mike Knott just behind us... Birds working, easy bait similar to yesterday... Heard over the radio a dog was eating baits... Later heard Mike over the radio announce he just bounced a fatty on his deck... Nice job Mike, shoot me an email sdholymackerel@gmail.com for the high resolution pics...

A lot of kayakers out today, this is the only PM fish I heard about, planned on staying out real late, but the dog was relentless. Ran into a couple newbies...

Landed around 9pm in the dark, got in dry... Gonna try it again on Saturday AM shift... Good seeing everyone,

Chris

Nice toad!
Tough day for fishing. That dog was a real pain in the ass. As soon as I paddled out to the spot I heard Brad warn me the seal was heading right for me, and it never stopped. I lost 5 baits to it over the course of a couple hours. That was even being real carefull and pulling in my baits everytime he came around.

There seems to be some short ones around, I caught one and heard Ken did. I also had a few chomped baits that seemed like short ones. Had a couple barely cudas on the iron as well.

Great fish Mike. Close enough to make Ken sweat

No, problemo... I told you that thing was big, 45-50 was my guess, but I was being conservative, in case I was wrong! Congrats again, I'll send the High res pics tonight. I'll see the Armada tomorrow....

Congrats again Mike! That is a FAT croaker. I hooked up twice on dogs. One gave me a nice tow, the second one fooled me and I got excited for a second only to see it surface next to me. See you guys Saturday. I'll be the guy on the kayak

Just got back from the landing for the official weight.... 53 lbs even. What a pain in the ass to keep a fish like that all night, go to work and slip out to get the fish weighed. I ended up spending 25 bucks on ice and leaving it in my car till 11:00 this morning. The scale at the Malibu shop is right on the money. Back out sunday. MKNOTT
