White Sea bass fishing malibu.

Hi everyone. I normally kayak fish Malibu quite a bit and was just curious about how others like to fish it. Right now i normally head out of leo carrillo and fish Nicholas canyon area for WSB. So far i have only caught juveniles using green backs and dropper looped whole squid. Does anyone have and tips or tricks that have found that really works well in this area. Rigging, pound test, number of lines, baits, DEPTH, etc. Anything and everything is welcomed! Also does anyone have an idea of what depth the WSB and or halibut are at this time of year?
Thanks,
Johnny
