Had a Tarpon 160i for 14 years and could easily store 2 50 lb White (Not black) in the front hatch. When its open up here, its wide open! I usually stop at 2 fish.
The front hatch on my new Hobie is too small to store sea bass so just wondering how the Hobie performs with big fish on the rear.

Hey Ojos,
I've had a Revolution and now have a PA. And I'm assuming you'll have your bait tank in place too. So depending on the size of your fish regardless of variety...They will not go inside on any Hobie rear hatch. You could strap them one on each side of the bait tank but you'll prob need help doing it. Def helps to have as much weight in the back as possible. Regardless, if you have this situation, it's a good one to have. I place them on the inside between the hull and the drive. You might rub a part of the fish cause it can get tight right there. Then you're heavy in front and if you're landing in any kind of surf...tie everything down, lol. I have also pulled the mirage drive, place them all in front and paddled in. On the pic below, surf was decent, I jumped out, held on to the stern handle and rode it in. Hope this helps brotha. Jim
