HOW Fresh Water fundraiser. Entry Fee, Sponsors and Prize list coming in the next 7 days. We have locked in Vail for the date...now we need some participation. $40 entry fee, split between Vail for use of the lake and the rest to HOW. Below is the link for more info.

This sounds great!. I used to fish vail back before it went private in a bass boat. I've been trying to talk myself into dragging my yak up there and now this is just the incentive I've needed! Thanks.

HOW is not bringing kayaks for this event. That being said....You enter and I will bring you a Jackson Kilroy to paddle for the day!

Other info:
We will be setting up by the launch ramp parking area and shore launching.

The address is 40500 highway 79 south. It's not the entrance to the rv resort but a couple miles east of there.

There is a rangers office where you can check in and pick up the identifier.

This is the location to the turn into the Vail Lake area that leads the launch. Google lists that as Vail Oak Road.
