Trouting Yesterday

With the incredible weather we've been having, and yesterday off, I set out for some trout fishing.

Nope, Not even close.

The story is, that I was inspired by the sewage crew and their recent trip to Irvine Lake, a trip I was unable to make, unfortunately, as it looked like a hell of time with nothing but good company.

But in short, the fish went 13.15 pounds.

Here is the link: http://www.irvinelake.net/fishing/recent-catches

I'm the 4th one down.

Yep Mat, sure did. But i need new hatches now. I still have 2 of the original hatches, and there starting to go. So now I am deliberating on ordering new ones, or getting the black plastic ones from Andy, and doing a little more glass work so I can make them actually work on the yak.

Guys, thanks! I got pretty lucky catching that beast; and even more-so considering I was using a 2# topshot tied to spectra. To top it off, the fish pretty much swam almost straight into my net. I'll tell you, when I first saw the fish, I never though I would land it; but hey, even I get lucky sometimes.
