LJ shores Fri.4th am."listing kayak"

Headed out at graylight towards the cans in search of macs. At first only spanish then headed to deeper waters and got into the big green macs, it's going to be a good day . Proceeded to the " yellowtail ally" and soaked two baits, one high the other low. First hit was a large bonita, good fighter!. Then get wacked on my long line surface bait, this is no bonita! Get solid hook-up and the game is on, after three deep runs up comes my biggest yellow of the season on my kayak. I weighed it on the scale at my office, 23# and 41 inches long. Caught on trinidad 20,calstar 700m with 20# p-line and floro leader. Back at it again tomarrow :!: :!:

nice, congrats, I got a 23#er as well (well, two fish combined weight that is  )

Found two inside at dawn on bait, released a 5-6# mini YT and kept the larger one. Then, out at the corner, got one to go on the iron. BENDO city out there for the PBs. Kelvin was having a good go at it as well. Go get em Brinkman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to all of you on the yellows.
I finally got that bait tank to work. I managed about 8 macs from the pier and trolled them out; one deep and one on the surface. After losing most of my bait to big bonies and seals this one finally came on the flyline.

By then I was already out of bait. Paddled to the kelp and scraped up one greenback. Pinned him on when I got past the point then along came this guy.

All in all about 21# worth of yellows. That was good fishing this morning.

Jeff
