Play in the steering

I assume that over time my PA has developed some play/slop in the steering. the handle moves 1/2-1" before actually moving the rudder.. Can I just adjust the cables running to back? Is there any way to adjust those? IM at work and just thought about it so I havent taken the back hatch cover off to look. Figured I would ask the experts.

Just take off cover and make adjustment . To retrofit would be opening a can of worms . Look at hobie site for installing lines / and or making adjustments. I have seen info for other models . Pa should be there also.

Super easy adjustment on the PAs, just pop the access cover on the stern, there is a pulley and lines under it.
