DANA POINT 2/24/12

MY BUDDY AND I LAUNCHED AT 730AM AND HEADED OUT. IT WAS AT LEAST AN HOUR PADDLE TO OUR SPOT. WE SEPERATED ABOUT A 100 YARDS OR SO AND DROPPED DOWN OUR LIVE SARDINES AND STARTED SLOWLY MOVING ALONG THE FRONT OF THE KELP BEDS. ON MY FIRST DROP I PICKED UP A GOOD HIT AND SLOWLY MOVED AWAY FROM THE KELP INTO DEEPER WATER. AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES I GAFFED HIM,BUT HE WENT NUTS WHEN THE GAME CLIP WAS PUT ON ALMOST FLIPPING ME OVER. I QUIETED HIM DOWN WITH MY GAFF. WE WERE USING LIVE SARDINES FROM THE RECIEVER WITH A STINGER SET UP.

$10 for a kayak tank -
Usually get a good scoop and a bit more if they know you're a regular and tip well.

More than enough to last a morning of fishing.
