LAST CALL

Heading to Asuncion early Sunday morning. If you have a care package for Rossman I will be at the HOW outing on Saturday. Flying solo so lots of room. Tight lines.

You might bring him some buttermilk for making pancakes:
Recipe: Makes about 24 really thick pancakes

6 cups flour
1-½ Tbsp. baking soda
3 tsp. FRESH baking powder
1 Tbsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
Mix it all with a whisk

For every cup of flour mix:
1 cup buttermlk
2 room temperature eggs, separated
2 Tbsp. melted butter

Melt the butter and very slowly add the mixed egg yolks. Then add to buttermilk
Whisk the egg whites to stiff peaks

add the egg yolk/buttermilk/butter mixture to the pre-mixed flour. Add the stiff egg whites. Use a rubber spatula and fold the mixture with no more than 10-12 foldings. (the more you mix the tougher the pancakes will be). Don't worry about the dry lumps, they will work themselves in during the cooking on the griddle. Throw some fresh or dried blue berries on each pancake. Pour about ½ cup of batter per pancake and flip when you see the first bubbles appear on the edges of the pancake.
Ross has a griddle there and warm it up for about 6 minutes at medium temperature (about 250 degrees). He has a infra-red thermometer there.
The dried blueberries come from Trader Joes.
I am sure Ross would also appreciate a couple of rib-eye steaks. He has not had those since he moved into the house.

Weather should be good, nice in am with winds in the afternoon. Normal pattern for there this time of year.

Good news is it looks like Sven will be traveling with me. San Quintin is again WFO WBS, YT, and some tuna too. WSB seen to be 30-40+.
Ross reports lots of nice YT in Asuncion. Life is great.

Guys, don't let this summer pass you by, get out there and JUST DO IT!!!!!! TIGHT LINES.

That is great news that the Dawg is coming down. Who knows what he will Jerk out of these waters. He is always full of surprises.

By the way, if either of you guys have ever performed anan inguinal hernia repair surgery, you might want to take along any special tools you might need. I probably have most of the stuff you need. I have a reasonably sharp fillet knife, some 200 mph duct tape, an old fine mesh bait net, and some power pro and mono that has never been fished at the sewer. Oh and some tequila and a twig to chew on for anesthetic purposes. I think that covers it

Official notice is here by given that Sven and I will be crossing the border by 5 am Sunday morning. This border run will benifit Mr. Rossman, as he will receive, fishing tackle, a replacement fishing rod, FRESH MEAT, and reading material. Sven and I get a trip to BAJA, to fish lots of YT in Asuncion, and a chance to scope out the Abreojos lagoons and area for future trips south. Tight lines all.

Hope everyone continues to tear them up in SoCal. Just about enough time to top off the fuel tank, grab an early dinner, and catch a nap before Sven gets here and it is "Off to see the Wizard". Tight lines guys, see you in a couple weeks.
